Margaret M. Cotterman

Margaret M. Cotterman, 78, formerly of 8707 Williamson Rd., passed away Tuesday, February 11th, 2014 at Meadville Rehab. & Nursing Center.

Margaret was born in Meadville, on November 25, 1935, a daughter of the late Kenneth and Beatrice Smith.

On July 6, 1953 Margaret married Merle A. Cotterman; he preceded her in death on September 30, 1998.

She was a member of Christ Church Episcopal, Meadville.

Margaret had been employed by the former Talon, Inc. of Meadville and by Allegheny College as a secretary. A devoted homemaker, Margaret enjoyed cooking, trying new recipes and most of all taking care of her family.

Margaret is survived by a son Matthew Cotterman of Meadville, six grandchildren Tara, Kyra, Josie, Amber, Aryan, Arion, two brothers Kenneth Smith, Jr., Jim Smith, both of Harrisburg, several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and her husband, Merle of 45 years, Margaret was preceded in death by a son David Cotterman and a daughter Lauri Cotterman.

A Memorial Service will be held at Christ Church Episcopal, 870 Diamond Square, Meadville, at 11:00 AM on Saturday, February 22, 2014 with Rev. Dr. Richard Elberfeld officiating.
