Margaret M. Koehler

Margaret M. Koehler, 92, of Saegertown, passed away Sunday, July 16, 2023 at Wesbury United Methodist Community.

Margaret was born in Meadville, on February 12, 1931, a daughter of the late Andrew and Etta (Zickefoose) Zirkle.

On April 25, 1947 Margaret married J. Russell "Earl" Koehler; he preceded her in death on January 19, 1992.

She was a member of Allida-Smith Weslyan Church.

Margaret enjoyed being a homemaker and raising her family. A member of Hayfield Volunteer Fire Department Auxiliary, Margaret was also a social member of Saegertown Volunteer Fire Department, Saegertown American Legion, Post 205 and enjoyed being a member of the Meadville YMCA, where she had been active in the morning exercise swim class. She was an avid BINGO player.

Margaret is survived by sons; James R. Koehler, Ricky L. Koehler both of Saegertown, twin daughters; Linda Mangus (Dick), Brenda Cutshall both of Meadville, 11 grandchildren Stacy McGill, Tim Koehler, Jackie Sada, Robin Fine, Lori Lippincott, Tina Craft, Barbie Beck, Amy Koehler, Kelly Mangus, Richard Koehler, Jessie Koehler, 2 step-grandchildren; Tirissa Clemente, Tammy Iarussi, 19 great grandchildren; 2 step-great grandchildren; 10 great great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews including her Friday evening dinner date Duane "Sonny" Kirkwood; and her biweekly breakfast partner; Doris Brown.

In addition to her parents and her husband Earl of 45 years, Margaret was preceded in death by a great grandson; Corey Hawk, sisters; Elva Thompson, Ruth Koehler, Bernice Kirkwood, Virginia McGill, brothers; Bob, Art, Howard, Dorman and Dowden Zirkle and a daughter in law; Laurel Koehler.

Family and friends are invited to call Thursday, July 20, 2023 from 11:30 - 2:30 at Stephen P. Mizner Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc., 330 Broad St., Saegertown, where Funeral Services will be held at 2:30 PM with Pastor Joe Frank of Genteva Hospice, officiating.

Margaret will be laid to rest next to her husband Earl, in Saegertown Cemetery.
