Margaret Mary Maziarz

Margaret Mary Maziarz, 93, of Saegertown, passed away Friday, October 4, 2024 at home. 

Margaret was born in Cobourg, Ontario, on November 1, 1930, a daughter of the late Dan and Mary (Bulger) Leguard.

On July 11, 1953 Margaret married Stephen J. Maziarz; he preceded her in death on May 27, 2014. 

She was a member of St. Brigid Roman Catholic Church, Meadville. 

In her earlier years Margaret had been employed by the late Dr. Richard Bates. She enjoyed volunteering at many military service organizations as she traveled all over the world with her husband Sgt. Stephen Maziarz, while he served his country for 27 years with the US Army. Her hobbies included interior decorating, antiquing, finishing and reupholstering furniture. Margaret will be remembered as an individual who enjoyed everyday of her life. 

Margaret is survived by a son Gregory Maziarz of Edinboro, two sisters Lena, Noreen; many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband Stephen of 60 years, Margaret was preceded in death by five brothers Thomas, Joseph, John, Brian and Greg Leguard, five sisters Angie, Theresa, Grace, Alberta and infant Mary.

Family and friends are invited to call on Saturday, October 12, 2024, from 10-11:30 AM at STEPHEN P. MIZNER FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, INC. 404 CHESTNUT STREET, MEADVILLE. A Mass of Resurrection will follow at 12:00 PM at St. Brigid Church, 383 Arch Street, Meadville, with Fr. Jeff Lucas officiating.

Margaret will be laid to rest with her husband, Stephen, in St. Brigid Cemetery. 

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Stephen P. Mizner Funeral Home, 404 Chestnut St., Meadville, PA 16335 where they will be forwarded to help a local disabled veteran.
