Margaret "Peg" Acker, 85, of Meadville, formerly of Saegertown, passed away Wednesday, January 5, 2022, at Wesbury United Methodist Community.

Peg was born in Meadville, on May 8, 1936, a daughter of the late Howard LeRoy and Margaret Anna (Manuel) Brown.

On February 26, 1953 Peg married Edward Earl Acker; he preceded her in death on November 16, 2020 after 67 years of marriage.

Peg retired from Penncrest School District after 31 1/2 years of service. Her tenure started at the former Euclid Elementary School and finished at Saegertown High School. Spending many years at the baseball field with her husband Ed, Peg could be found working the concession stand or helping any way possible. She was an active member of Saegertown United Methodist Church and volunteered in various capacities, including helping with church dinners and special church functions. She enjoyed being a member of the Saegertown Women's Improvement Club and took pride in the work that the club did for the Saegertown Area. Peg loved Saegertown and all that it had to offer her family. While living at Wesbury, Peg served as President of the Resident Council. In her earlier years she enjoyed bowling at the Eagles and Plaza Lanes. Peg's life was her family, she cherished the time spent with her daughters, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She will be missed.

Peg is survived by four children Vanessa Hopkins of Meadville, Rhonda Acker of Saegertown, Cindy Winters (Bill) of Maryville, TN, Mary Margaret Crum (Tim) of Saegertown; nine grandchildren Justin E. Miller (Natalie), Jay M. Miller (Tabitha), Bobbi J. Powell (Mark), Morgan M. Winters, Brooke A. Ford (Stone), Tiffany R. Quindardo (Don), David L. Darling III (Nicole), Brandon S. Crum (Ashley), Hannah A. Crum; eleven great grandchildren Isaiah, Jayce, Remy, Will, Finley, Olivia, Stone, Rosalynd, Emaleigh, Griffin, Zoe; a sister Donna Rankin of CA, and several loving nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and her husband, Ed, of 67 years, Peg was preceded in death by a sister Phyllis Carrol.

Family and friends are invited to call from 10-11 AM on Saturday, January 15, 2022, at Saegertown United Methodist Church, 620 Euclid Ave., Saegertown, where Funeral Services will follow at 11 AM with Pastor Jeff Little officiating. Please join the family following the funeral service in the Church Community Room for a lunch provided by the Church family.

Peg will be laid to rest with her husband, Ed, in Acker-Roger Cemetery, Hayfield Twp.
