Marilyn V. Bizzarro

Marilyn V. Bizzarro, 80, of 31 N. Park Ave., Meadville, passed away Friday, May 6, 2016, at Wesbury United Methodist Community.

Marilyn was born in Meadville, on October 28, 1935, a daughter of the late Russell and Lelia (Prenatt) Theuret.

On November 29, 1958 Marilyn married Anthony Bizzarro; he preceded her in death on July 30, 2013.

She was a member of St. Mary of Grace Roman Catholic Church and the Altar Rosary Society.

Over the years Marilyn had been employed as head of housekeeping at the former David Mead Inn and as a cafeteria worker at the former Third District School for Crawford Central School District. Prior to becoming a full time homemaker, she was employed by the former Bell Telephone Company for many years. Marilyn graduated from Saegertown High School. She was a member of the Verizon Telephone Pioneers of America and of the Italian Civic Club (ICC) Auxiliary. Marilyn enjoyed cooking, camping, dancing and traveling throughout the U.S. and Europe. A people person, she loved being surrounded by her family and friends. She loved attending family functions and every moment spent with her grandchildren.

Marilyn is survived by four children Brenda S. Bizzarro of Meadville, Diane M. Lavery and her husband Rick of Erie, Stephen A. Bizzarro and his companion Lisa Carney of Meadville, Michael J. Bizzarro of Saegertown, three grandchildren Nicholas R. Bizzarro of Saegertown, Kearstyn S. Bizzarro of Geneva, Emily Barickman of Meadville, a brother Gary and Leslie Theuret of Meadville, many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and her husband, Anthony, of 54 years, Marilyn was preceded in death by three brothers Jack, Richard and Carl Theuret.

Family and friends are invited to call on Tuesday, May 10, 2016 from 4-7 PM at Stephen P. Mizner Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc., 404 Chestnut St., Meadville, where a Scripture Service will be held at 6:30 PM.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:30 AM at St. Mary of Grace Roman Catholic Church, 1085 Water St., Meadville, on Wednesday, with Fr. Johnathan Schmolt, officiating.

Marilyn will be laid to rest next to her husband, Anthony, in St. Brigid Cemetery, West Mead Twp.
