Mark Anthony Saggio

Mark Anthony Saggio, 66, of Erie, returned to his Lord and Savior on Monday, February 10, 2025, surrounded by his loving family.

Mark was born in Meadville, on August 1, 1958, a son of the late Louis Joseph and Margaret (Marcinko) Saggio, Sr.

Mark is survived by his three siblings Rosalee Ann Rastetter (Stefan) of Erie, Anthony Stephen Saggio (Georgetta Chulick) of Pittsburgh, Louis Joseph Saggio, Jr. (Beth Burton) of Nashville, TN. Several nieces and nephews were dearly loved by Mark, Shane Krause of Erie, Nicholas Krause (Jessica) of Pittsburgh, Suzanne Saggio of Rotunda West, FL, Matt Saggio (Melanie) of Nashville, TN, Eric Saggio (Geraldine) of Edgewater, MD, Lauren Saggio (Jittapon) of Thailand, Ashley Potts (Chip) of Franklin, TN, Louis Saggio III (Lacey) of Chattanooga, TN, and Michael David Saggio of Nashville, TN. Mark had several great nieces and nephews Aurelia, Rhett, and Rourke Saggio, Rien, Henry and Hunter Potts, Baird Saggio-Fletcher, Sullivan Krause, and William Saggio.

Mark had countless friends and staff members of the Dr. Gertrude A. Barber Center. He knew how to make friends with his "Bear Hugs", his infectious laugh, and his special hands shake greeting. Mark has been involved with the Barber Center since 1977. He participated and excelled in the Special Olympics Program. He attended camps every summer and worked in the Barber Center Sheltered Workshop for many years until his retirement.

Mark loved going to Mass with his Rosary by his side, as well as attending Pilgrimages with his parents, aunt and uncle. He truly enjoyed parties, going out to dinner, and being with family on various trips and vacations. The Barber Center played a huge role in Mark's life, and his family is forever grateful to them.

Family and friends are invited to call from 1-5 PM on Thursday, February 13, 2025, at STEPHEN P. MIZNER FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, INC., 404 CHESTNUT ST., MEADVILLE, where a Scripture Service will be held at 4:30 PM.

A Mass of Resurrection will be celebrated on Friday, February 14, 2025, at 10 AM at St. Brigid Roman Catholic Church, 383 Arch St., Meadville, with Fr. Jeff Lucas officiating.

Mark will be laid to rest in St. Brigid Cemetery.
