Mary C. Tokarcik

Mary C. Tokarcik, 96, of 455 Chestnut St., Meadville, formerly of Mullen Road, Meadville, passed away January 19, 2011, at Juniper Village, Meadville.
Mary was born in Revere on January 19, 1915, a daughter of the late Luigi and Rosa (Apone) Congelio.
On December 30, 1939 Mary married John A. Tokarcik; he preceded her in death in October, 1982.
She was a member of St. Brigid Roman Catholic Church, Meadville, and its Altar Rosary Society.
In 1977 Mary retired from Channellock where she had worked in the assembly department. She had previously been employed by the former Meadville Bread Company. Mary was a member of the Catholic Daughters of the Americas. She enjoyed crocheting, cooking, baking and making pizzelle.
Mary is survived by a son Alexander 'Alex' J. Tokarcik and his wife Eloise M. of Meadville, seven grandchildren John A. Tokarcik and his wife Patty of Milton, FL, Mary Johnston of Westminster, MD, Alicia Tokarcik of Pittsburgh, Darlene Straw and her husband Doug of Greenville, William Heisey and his wife Diana, Robert Heisey and his wife Linda both of Meadville, Markle Heisey of Conneautville, several great grandchildren, a sister Jennie Congelio of Republic, several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband John of 42 years, Mary was preceded in death by 12 brothers and sisters.
Family and friends are invited to call on Sunday, January 23, 2011 from 2-7 at Stephen P. Mizner Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc., 404 Chestnut St., Meadville, where a Catholic Daughters of the Americas service will be conducted at 3:00 PM and a scripture service will be conducted at 6:30 PM.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 AM on Monday, January 24, 2011, at St. Brigid Roman Catholic Church, 383 Arch St., Meadville, with Fr. Mark OHern, Pastor of St. Brigid, officiating.
Interment will take place in St. Brigid Cemetery, West Mead Twp.
