Mary Catherine Drda

Mary Catherine Drda of Saegertown, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, April 27th.

She was born in Moffett Sterling, on August 24th, 1924, the daughter of Andrew and Catherine Walsh.

She was married to Robert Charles Drda on August 11th, 1956.

She was a member of St. Bernadette’s Roman Catholic church.

She worked at Visco’s and the County Home and spent the later years of her life traveling the country to visit her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren in various states.

Mary is survived by her six children, Francis Telliho and her husband Robert of Meadville, Joseph Drda of Saegertown, Michael Drda and his wife Jody of Mercer, Charles Drda and his wife Leslie of Harwinton, CT, Christopher Drda and his wife Suzanne of Camp Hill, Thomas Drda and his wife Mindy of Clayton, NC; 14 grandchildren: John Telliho, Amy Brennan, Margaret Drda, Jennifer Drda, Walter Drda, Emily Drda, Chelsea Drda, Ashley Drda, Karli Drda, Elizabeth Drda, Alexander Drda, Jack Drda, Andrew Drda, Nicholas Drda; and 4 great grandchildren: Benjamin, Landon, Tyler, and Aaron. She was preceded in death by her parents and nine siblings.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 AM on Friday, May 13, 2016 at St. Bernadette Roman Catholic Church, 222 Renner Lane, Saegertown, with Fr. David Poulson, Pastor, officiating.

Mary will be laid to rest next to her husband, Robert, in St. Agatha Cemetery, West Mead Twp.

In lieu of gifts and flowers, donations can be made to the Saegertown Food Pantry, c/o Gospel Tabernacle, 417 Euclid Avenue, Saegertown, PA 16433.
