Mary D. Anselmo

Mary D. Anselmo, 90, of 773 Alden St., Meadville, passed away Thursday, May 27, 2010 at home.
Mary was born in Meadville on September 17, 1919, a daughter of the late Rosario and Nancy (Sottile) Frisina.
On February 8, 1945 Mary married Joseph J. Anselmo; he preceded her in death on February 14, 2010.
She was a member of St. Mary of Grace Roman Catholic Church and the Altar Rosary Society. In her earlier years she was a Sunday school teacher and in the 1960s she was active in the Cursillio Movement.
Prior to her marriage in 1945, Mary was employed by the former Talon, Inc. of Meadville. She was a 1937 graduate of Meadville High School. The epitome of a dedicated homemaker, Mary enjoyed cooking, sewing and caring for her family. Mary was a loving mother who extended that love to her childrens friends.
Mary is survived by three sons Joseph Anselmo and his wife Bobby of Phoenix, AZ, James Anselmo, John Anselmo and Fran Smith, a daughter Mary Elizabeth Beachy and her husband David all of Meadville, a sister Frances Pelchen and her husband Fred of Conneaut Lake, several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and her husband Joseph of 65 years, Mary was preceded in death by four sisters Josephine Anselmo, Grace Frisina, Marian Derby, Lena Petruso and a brother Anthony Frisina.
Family and friends are invited to call on Tuesday from 8:30-11:30 AM at Stephen P. Mizner Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc., 404 Chestnut St., Meadville, PA 16335.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Mary of Grace Roman Catholic Church, 1085 Water St., Meadville, at 12:00 PM on Tuesday, June 1, 2010, with Fr. Richard J. Toohey, Pastor, officiating.
Interment will take place in St. Brigid Cemetery, West Mead Twp.
