Mary E. Peters

Mary Emmeline Peters, 91, of 745 Grant St., PO Box 355, Saegertown, passed away Wednesday, September 28, 2016 at Meadville Medical Center.

Mary was born in Richmond Twp., on February 15, 1925, a daughter of the late Bird and Mable (Carpenter) Eldred.

In 1946 Mary married Walter Peters; he preceded her in death in 1986.

She was a member of Saegertown United Methodist Church, Saegertown.

After 44 years of service Mary retired in 1987 from the former Talon, Inc., of Meadville, where she had been employed in the Repair Table Department.

Mary is survived by a son Larry Peters and his wife Susan of Saegertown, two grandchildren Haiku Peters, Travis Peters, a sister Agnes Shaffer and her husband Kenneth of Woodcock Boro.

In addition to her husband, Walter of 24 years, Mary was preceded in death by a grandson Tyler Peters and a special friend John Stoyer.

Family and friends are invited to call on Sunday, October 2, 2016 from 4-7 at STEPHEN P. MIZNER FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, INC., 330 BROAD ST., SAEGERTOWN, where Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 PM on Monday, with Rev. Darrell L. Greenawalt, Pastor of Saegertown United Methodist Church, officiating.

Mary will be laid to rest in Venango Cemetery.
