Mary "Mary-Lib" Elisabeth Whitney

Mary "Mary-Lib" Elisabeth Whitney, 87, of Meadville, passed away Monday, March 9, 2020, at AristaCare at Park Avenue, Meadville.

She was born in Boston, MA on October 6, 1932.

She was a member of Unitarian Universalist Church, Meadville.
 
Mary-Lib grew up in Boston, MA. She lived in Syracuse, NY for 30+ years before settling in Meadville in the early 1990's. She was creatively talented working as a freelance artist, creating paintings, pencil art, and chalk drawings. Mary-Lib also wrote poetry, short stories and enjoyed storytelling. She had a passion for lighthouses and loved all animals, especially dogs.

Mary-Lib is survived by three children Emlyn "Emy" (Darrel) Kronman of Baldwinsville, NY, David Kronman of N. Las Vegas, NV, Betsy Bouche of Somerville, MA; three grandchildren Charles Thomas, Jasmyn Thomas, Andrew Kronman; two great grandchildren, Kaelyn and Charles; sister Katharine "K.B." Inglee of Wilmington DE, and dear friend/neighbor Lily Scannell of Meadville.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Private services will be held in Meadville.

Arrangements are under the direction of STEPHEN P. MIZNER FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, INC., 404 CHESTNUT ST., MEADVILLE.
