Mary O. Rugala

Mary O. Rugala, 88, of 14714 Park Ave. Ext. Meadville, formerly of Center Road Springboro, passed away Saturday, July 4th, at Butler Memorial Hospital, Butler.

Mary was born in Cransville, on February 12, 1927, a daughter of the late John and Tessie Onuschak.

On June 10, 1947 Mary married Joseph John Rugala; he preceded her in death on September 8, 1982.

She was affilated with Faith Baptist Church, Albion

Mary was a proud and hard working homemaker. In her earlier years she had worked for GE of Erie and at the local restaurant in Albion. She enjoyed living and working on the family farm in Springboro, as well as fishing and taking care of her dogs. Mary will be remembered for her famous line "Debbie has beautiful cars". Playing BINGO was more than a game, but an activity that she had a passion for. She will be remembered as an individual that had a true zest for life and will be missed by her family and many friends.

Mary is survived by a son John J. Rugala and his wife Alicia of Wilmington, NC, a daughter Deborah "Debbie" M. Rugala of Zelienople, four grandchildren Cydnee Greathouse, Mark Rugala, Mala Diloreto, Alexa Veronesi, two great grandchildren Wyatt Diloreto, Andrea Luzier, many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband Joseph of 35 years and her parents Mary was preceded in death by two brothers Alex and John Onuschak.

Family and friends are invited to call on Tuesday, July 7, 2015 from 2-4 and 6-8 at the Stephen P. Mizner Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc., 404 Chestnut Street, Meadville.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 10:00 AM at Calvary Baptist Church, 543 Randolph St., Meadville with Pastor Tim Jordan officiating.

Mary will be laid to rest next to her husband Joseph in St. James Cemetery, Crossingville.
