Maxine S. Green

Maxine S. Green, 82, of 30395 Brown Hill Rd. Cambridge Springs, passed away Saturday, August 25, 2018, in Erie, at the home of her daughter.

Maxine was born at home, in Cussewago Twp., on January 30, 1936, a daughter of the late Max Eaton and A. Luella (Siverling) Schlosser.

On September 18, 1954 Maxine married J. William Green; he survives.

She was a member of Brown Hill United Methodist Church, Rockdale Twp.

After 28 years of service, Maxine retired in 1999 from Penncrest School District where she had been employed as a secretary at Cambridge Springs Elementary School. She was a 1953 graduate of Cambridge Springs High School.

In addition to her husband William of 63 years, Maxine is survived by three children John Green and his wife Kim of Saegertown, Kimberly Green and her husband Kirk King of Erie, Jeffrey Green of Cambridge Springs, seven grandchildren Tanya Thomas, Brandon Boylan, Bradley Boylan and his wife Francesca, Jason Green and his wife Angela, Justin Green and his wife Alicia, Kelly Lytle and her husband Thomas, Michael Green, several great grandchildren, two sisters Ruth DeLutis of San Francisco, CA, Wynima Chisholm and her husband Walter of Meadville, a brother Eugene Schlosser and his wife Gretchen of Saegertown, several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Maxine was preceded in death by a brother Robert Schlosser and a sister Mary Lou Yost.

A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, September 1, 2018 at Brown Hill United Methodist Church, 22742 Wilkie Rd., Cambridge Springs, with Rev. Ryan Weingard, Pastor, officiating.

Maxine will be laid to rest in Venango Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Brown Hill United Methodist Church, 22742 Wilkie Rd., Cambridge Springs, PA 16403.
