Melinda 'Mindy' M. Norton

Melinda 'Mindy' M. Norton, 56, of 412 Pine St., Meadville, passed away Thursday, October 3, 2013 at home.

Mindy was born in Creston, IA on May 8, 1957, a daughter of Betty (Harrison) Lynam and the late Wayne Lynam.

On November 7, 1987 Mindy married Thomas 'Tom' G. Norton; he survives.

Mindy was a member of New Beginnings Church of God, Meadville, and a former member of Church of God, Cambridge Springs. She attended schools in Iowa. Her greatest joy in life was spending time with her grandchildren.

In addition to her husband, Tom, Mindy is survived by a daughter Jennifer Norton Halsey and her husband Curtis of Centerville, three grandchildren Natalie Halsey, Landon Halsey, Kylie Lynam, her mother Betty Lynam, of Iowa, a sister Amy Lynam and a brother Rodney L. Lynam.

In addition to her father, Mindy was preceded in death by two brothers Lonnie Lynam and Kelly Lynam.

Family and friends are invited to call on Saturday, October 5, 2013 from 12-2 PM at Stephen P. Mizner Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc., 404 Chestnut St., Meadville, where Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM, with Pastor Temple Jarrell of New Beginnings Church of God officiating.
