Melissa "Missy" Lu Hunter

Melissa Lou Hunter, age 57, of Saegertown, went to be with the Lord as she died peacefully surrounded by her family on November 29, 2017.

She was born on November 9, 1960 in Meadville, a daughter of Richard and Doris (Baker) Wishart; they survive.

She was a member of New Beginnings Church of God, Meadville.

All of her family and friends knew her as Missy. She was employed at Lord Corporation for 33 years. She began her career there as a secretary and eventually became their materials manager. Missy loved planning and decorating her home. She also loved working with stained glass. She possessed a gift of mixing colors of glass with natural light to create beautiful pictures. Missy was diligent and a perfectionist with everything she set out to do. She was also soft spoken with a tender and loving heart for her family.

In addition to her parents, Missy is survived by her adoring husband of 30 years, Doug, her four loving daughters Gretchen Wood of Linesville, Tiffany Moore of Monroeville, Hilary Wallace, Lauren Hunter both of Saegertown, her beautiful grandchildren Zander, Isabelle, Lila, a sister Pam Espenschied and her husband Andy of St. Louis, MO, a brother Patrick Wishart and his wife Geri of Cambridge Springs.

She leaves behind a legacy of unconditional love and care for all; especially her three precious grandchildren. She will be deeply missed.

Family and friends are invited to call on Sunday from 1-4 at STEPHEN P. MIZNER FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, INC., 330 BROAD ST., SAEGERTOWN, where Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday with Rev. Cindy Kightlinger, Pastor of New Beginnings Church of God, officiating.

Missy will be laid to rest in Saegertown Cemetery.
