Michael Joseph Kollar, 63, of Meadville, passed away Wednesday, August 11, 2021, at home.

Michael was born in Minneapolis, MN, on March 18, 1958, a son of the late Donald J. and Eleanor (Metro) Kollar.

After 30 years of dedicated service to The Town and Country Club in St. Paul, MN, Michael retired last year. He thoroughly enjoyed his work there and took great pride in a job well done. A few months after retiring, Michael became a resident of Pennsylvania where he made his new home with his sister and brother in law. He delighted in the beauty of PA and watching nature all around him. He enjoyed PA fishing as well as regular stops at Saegertown American Legion and Venango VFW where he quickly connected with others. He will be remembered for his smile and great disposition. He will be sadly missed.

Michael is survived by a sister Donna Kimmel (Joseph) of Meadville; two brothers Richard Kollar (Janeen) of CA, Paul Kollar of AZ; his step father Benjamin Powell of CA; a step brother Marty Schmidt of MN; his aunt Joanne Braun of MN; several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents Donald J. Kollar and Eleanor Powell; Michael was preceded in death by a sister Theresa Kollar.

Private services will be held at a future date.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Michael's memory to Hospice of Crawford County, 766 Liberty St. or Yolanda G. Barco Oncology Institute 16792 Conneaut Lake Road both of Meadville, PA 16335.
