Morris A. Hefferman, Jr., 76, of 1042 Old Franklin Pike, Cochranton, passed away Tuesday, June 22nd, 2010 at Crawford County Care Center, Saegertown.
Morris was born in Utica on March 19, 1934, a son of the late Morris A. and Eva E. (ONeil) Hefferman, Sr.
On June 20, 1959 Morris married Virginia I. Greggs; she survives.
He was a member of Lupher Methodist Chapel, Franklin.
On May 19, 2006 Morris retired from Weber Harris Ford, Meadville, where he had worked in the Parts Dept. for more than 15 years. He previously had been employed by Franklin Auto of Franklin and the former Talon, Inc. of Meadville. A 1952 graduate of Franklin High School, he also attended schools in Utica and Rocky Grove. A US Army veteran, Morris had served his from May 25, 1956 until his honorable discharge on May 23, 1958. During this time he achieved the rank of Specialist Third Class and spent one year serving in Germany. Morris was a hard worker who worked since the age of 12. He enjoyed gardening, doing yard work, hunting and reading.
In addition to his wife Virginia of 51 years, Morris is survived by two sons Jeff D. Hefferman and his wife Karen of Matthews, NC, Mike A. Hefferman of Cochranton, one granddaughter Chloe Hefferman of Matthews, NC, a sister Maxine Worhatch and her husband Max of Petersburg, AK, a very special close family friend who was like a daughter Nichelle Rodgers, her husband Robert and their son Ethan of Carlton, several nieces and nephews.
Morris was preceded in death by his parents.
Services will be private and held at the convenience of family.
