Nancy Louise Jones

Nancy Louise Jones, 86, of Meadville, sadly left us on Saturday, February 10, 2024, surrounded by her loved ones.

Nancy was born in Hastings, MN, on February 23, 1937, a daughter of the late Kenneth and Violet (Kuehn) Lovejoy.

On June 16, 1956 Nancy married Joseph Arnold Jones; he preceded her in death on September 4, 2005.

While living in Meadville, Nancy attended Christ Episcopal Church, and while living in Erie she attended St. Mark's Episcopal Church. At both churches, she enjoyed singing in the choir, attending Bible Studies and participated in various prayer groups.

In 1998 Nancy retired from Millcreek Township School District where she worked in the library of Belle Valley Elementary School, Erie. When living in Meadville, she was employed by Penncrest School District as the office administrator for their Day Care Program. An avid reader, Nancy enjoyed sewing, quilt making and playing Free Cell. She will be most remembered for her big heart, kind spirit, and strong faith.

Nancy is survived by five children Catherine M. Jones of Meadville, Paula Kiehl of Erie, Linda Bowman (Scott) of North Hampton, Cheri Oakes (Keith) of Meadville, Michael Jones (Andrea) of Liverpool, NY; thirteen grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; several nieces and a nephew.

In addition to her parents and husband, Joseph, of 49 years, Nancy was preceded in death by a brother Dean Lovejoy; and a sister Bonnie Hankes.

Per Nancy's wishes, private services will be held.

Nancy will be laid to rest next to her husband, Joseph, in Union Cemetery, Guys Mills.

Heaven has gained another perfect angel. Until we meet again.

The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. He lets me lie down in green pastures. He leads me beside still and quiet waters.
