Neoma Kay Mattocks

Neoma Kay Mattocks, 63, of Saegertown, entered the gates of Heaven on Friday, November 8, 2024, at UPMC Medical Center, Pittsburgh, with her family at her side.

Neoma was born in Niagara Falls, NY on August 4, 1961, a daughter of the late Samuel and Norma (Walters) Jacobs.

Neoma's life work was raising her children and grandchildren. She also touched many lives through years of working with youth, leading youth groups, hosting and participating in Bible Studies and marriage counseling. Most of all she was known for her faith in Jesus and shared with anyone who she met along the way. She maintained an "open door" policy in her home and she was known as a "mom to the motherless". She loved all children of all ages. Neoma will be most remembered as a loving, God -fearing, honest, and strong-willed Wife, Mother, and Oma. She lived by Psalms 20:7 “Our boast is in Yahweh our God, who makes us strong and gives us victory.”

Neoma is survived by her loving husband of 44 years, David, by her children Monique Stallings (Scott) of Saegertown, Isaiah Mattocks (Heather) of Santa Marta, Colombia, Elijah Mattocks (Katherine) of Blooming Valley, Jeff Mattocks, Peter Mattocks both of Alexandria, VA, Jude Mattocks of Meadville, and Ezra Mattocks of Jacksonville, FL; nine grandchildren Dakota, Malachi, Hannah, Brittany, TaraBeth, Anna, Lydia, Universe, and Willow; two great grandchildren; Nevaeh and Izabella; non-blood related children Bethany, Tanci, Kiersten, Josiah, Benjamin (AKA Steve), and Silas (AKA Fred) Lashbrook; three sisters Edith Snyder, Tammy Jacobs (companion James), Ginger Jacob; two brothers Timothy Greer, and Jason Jacobs (companion Eliza); many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Neoma was preceded in death by a sister Laurie Clayton.

Family and friends are invited to call from 3-6 PM on Thursday, November 14, 2024, at New Beginnings Church, 13226 Leslie Rd. Meadville. Funeral Services will follow at 6 PM with Rev. Sean Moore of Victory Family Church officiating.
