Nevin B. Leonhart II, 46, of PO Box 127, Saegertown, passed away Tuesday, July 24th, 2012 at St. Vincent Health System, Erie.
Nevin was born in Meadville, on August 27, 1965, a son of Nevin B. Leonhart, Sr. and the late Cheryl (Rearick) Leonhart.
He was a member of Saegertown United Methodist Church.
Nevin had been employed by Multi Tool & Plastics for several years. Over the years he had also been employed by H & H Market, Maloney Tool and Trace Landscaping. A 1983 graduate of Saegertown High School, he had been a member of Saegertown Volunteer Fire Department for 27 years. Nevin was a member of Saegertown American Legion Post 205, Station 4 of Cochranton and the Hunting and Fishing Club of Meadville. In his younger years, he enjoyed playing baseball then in later years he played softball. His hobbies also included golfing, playing darts with the 301 Warner League and playing shuffle board for Johnnys. He was a supporter of the Kingsman Club and was an avid Cleveland Indians fan.
Nevin is survived by his father and stepmother Nevin and Marie Leonhart, Sr. of Meadville, a sister Melissa A. Leonhart of Meadville, his long time companion Liz Henry of Saegertown, paternal grandparents Walter T. and Virginia R. Leonhart of Saegertown, maternal grandmother Iva Jean Rearick of Meadville, two aunts Cindy Rearick of Meadville, Rebecca Trobee and her husband Bill of Saegertown, an uncle Ron Rearick and his wife Ci Ci of Saegertown, two stepchildren Jeff Newell, Brian Newell and several cousins.
In addition to his mother Cheryl Rearick Hall, Nevin was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather Hilis 'Lefty' Rearick.
Family and friends are invited to call on Thursday from 2-4 and 6-8 at Stephen P. Mizner Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 330 Broad St., Saegertown, where Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, July 27th, with Rev. Darrell L. Greenawalt, Pastor of Saegertown United Methodist Church, officiating.
Interment will take place in Townley Cemetery.
