Norma Jean Peterson

Norma Jean Peterson, 89, of 20881 State Hwy. 198, Saegertown, formerly of 420 Willow St., Meadville, passed away Friday, February 20, 2015, at the Crawford County Care Center, Saegertown.

Norma was born in Meadville, on March 25, 1925, a daughter of the late Harry and Miriam (Redmond) Rough.

On June 29, 1952 Norma married Donald L. Peterson; he preceded her in death on February 9, 1996.

She was of the Protestant faith.

Norma enjoyed being a homemaker and raising her children. She also enjoyed needlework, making crafts, reading and especially spending time with her family.

Norma is survived by four daughters Donna Sefert and her husband Terry, Cheryl Henry and her husband Larry, Miriam Southworth all of Meadville, Debra Brown and her husband Randy of Titusville, two sons Darwin Peterson and his wife Nancy, Stephen Peterson and his wife Sherry both of Meadville, several grandchildren and great grandchildren, a sister Cathleen Peterson of Meadville, several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and her husband of 43 years, Norma was preceded in death by a son Jeffery Peterson, a grandson Joseph Peterson and a sister Colleen Shartle.

Family and friends are invited to call on Monday, February 23, 2015, from 1-3 at Stephen P. Mizner Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc., 404 Chestnut St., Meadville, where Funeral Services will be held at 3:00 PM.

Norma will be laid to rest in Roselawn Memorial Gardens, Vernon Twp.
