Pamela "Pam" McCurdy, 54, of 11511 Pettis Rd., Meadville, passed away Monday, November 20, 2017, at home.
Pam was born in Greenville, on July 16, 1963, a daughter of the late Walter and Elizabeth (Molnar) Sapala.
On September 29, 1984 Pam married Ed McCurdy; he survives.
Pam was a 1981 graduate of Commodore Perry High School in Sheakleyville. For the past 28 years she was employed in the Registrar's Office of Allegheny College. In her younger years she worked at Street Track n Trail, where she met her husband. They became friends instantly and eventually married. From that time on, unless they were at work, it was unusual to see one without the other. They were soul mates and friends. Pam was an active member of New Beginnings Church of God and loved attending Sunday School. Church and family were everything to her her. She enjoyed being a believer, a wife and mother. She will be deeply missed.
In addition to her husband, Ed, of 33 years, Pam is survived by three children Colton McCurdy at home, and his fiance Megan Torok, Mariah McCurdy of Meadville, Jordan McCurdy at home, a sister Patricia "Pat" Hoffacker and her husband Stan of Sheakleyville, two brothers William "Bill" Sapala and his wife Hazel of Sheakleyville, David Sapala and his wife Val of Sandy Lake, her step mother Jean Sapala, a step sister Nancy Irion and her husband Bob both of Conneaut Lake, a step brother Clyde Werger of Pittsburgh, several nieces and nephews and her wonderful "hockey family".
In addition to her parents, Pam was preceded in death by her maternal grandmother, Mary Molnar, with whom she was very close, and a step brother Jim Werger.
Family and friends are invited to call on Wednesday, November 22, 2017, from 3-6 PM at New Beginnings Church of God, 13226 Leslie Rd., Meadville, where Funeral Services will be held at 6:00 PM with Pastor Temple Jarrell officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in her memory to the family.
Arrangements are under the direction of STEPHEN P. MIZNER FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, INC., 404 CHESTNUT ST., MEADVILLE.
