Patricia J. Malliard

Patricia J. Malliard, 86, of Meadville, formerly of Cochranton, passed away Sunday, October 20, 2019, at Meadville Medical Center.

Patricia was born in Oil City, on May 16, 1933, a daughter of the late Charles and Ruth (Pierce) Rankin.

On May 4, 1954, Patricia married Alfred J. Malliard; he preceded her in death on December 10, 2000.

She was of the Protestant faith.

For more than 24 years, Patricia had been employed in the Laundry Department of the former Meadville Days Inn. She had previously been employed by General Manifold Printing Company in Franklin. A graduate of Cochranton High School, Patricia had fond memories of attending the former McDaniel One Room School for Grades 7 and 8. She enjoyed working crossword puzzles, knitting, crocheting, and playing BINGO. In her later years, she enjoyed calling BINGO for the residents of Holland Towers.

Patricia is survived by five children Ricky Malliard (Ruth) of Cochranton, Jeffrey Malliard (Cathy) of Polk, Roger Malliard (Kathy), Kevin Malliard (Diana) both of Cochranton, Terri Runyan (Roger) of Carlton, 12 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren, 10 great great grandchildren, and a sister Beverly Martinez of Sacremento, CA.

In addition to her parents and her husband, Alfred, of 46 years, Patricia was preceded in death by a son Frank Malliard, twin grandchildren and a brother Charles Rankin.

Family and friends are invited to call on Wednesday, from 4-7 PM at STEPHEN P. MIZNER FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, INC., 404 CHESTNUT ST., MEADVILLE, where Funeral Services will be held at 7 PM with Rev. Terry Shaughnessy of Cochranton United Methoidst Church officiating.

Patricia will be laid to rest next to her husband, Alfred, in Peters Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made in Patricia's name to a charity of the donor's choice.
