Patrick Owen Murphy

Patrick Owen Murphy, beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend, passed away peacefully, leaving behind a legacy of faith, love, and kindness.

 Born on October 14, 1945 in Mobile, Alabama, Pat grew up in Oak Ridge, Tennessee, where he graduated high school in 1964. In 1971, he married the love of his life, Marilyn Hadley, with whom he shared 53 wonderful years of marriage. Together, they built a life filled with adventure, moving to and making memories in Oklahoma, Wisconsin, Michigan, and Pennsylvania.

 In 1975, Pat proudly served his country as a member of the United States Army. Over the years, he worked in various roles, embracing each opportunity with a dedication that reflected his strong work ethic and character.

 Pat’s life was centered on his Christian faith, which guided his actions and relationships. He cherished his family deeply, always prioritizing the well-being and happiness of those he loved. He is survived by his devoted wife, Marilyn; his two sons, James and Robert; and his adored grandchildren, Christina and Joseph, who were his pride and joy.

 Pat is also survived by his two loving sisters, Patricia and Carol, and his nephew, David, whose relationships brought him great comfort and joy throughout his life.

Pat will be remembered for his kind heart, unwavering faith, and the unconditional love he showed to those around him. A service to celebrate Pat’s life will be held at a later date, and details will be shared with family and friends.

 In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to a charity of your choice. Pat’s memory will forever be a source of comfort and inspiration to all who knew and loved him.
