Peggy Ann Hahn, 77, of 268 N. Main St., Meadville, passed away Saturday, June 24, 2017, at Meadville Medical Center.

Peggy was born in Meadville, on June 2, 1940, a daughter of the late Patsy W. and Anna C. (Capozzi) Barco.

On October 21, 1967 Peggy married David A. Hahn; he preceded her in death on February 3, 2017.

She was an active member of St. Mary of Grace Roman Catholic Church where over the years, she volunteered in many capacities.

A 1958 graduate of Meadville High School, Peggy was also a graduate of the former Spencer Hospital School of Nursing. In her younger years she worked as a Registered Nurse in both Cleveland, OH and San Diego, CA, and later became employed by the former Spencer Hospital, later known as Meadville Medical Center from where she retired as Supervisor of the Operating Room with more than 35 years of service. Additionally she helped her husband, David, run his business, AA-1 Exterminating for many years. Peggy was a member of the Italian Civic Club. She enjoyed cooking, reading and loved spending time with her family members and friends. She will be missed.

Peggy is survived by a son Vincent David Hahn and his wife Jane Katherine of Newton, MA, a granddaughter Sophia Grace, four sisters Joyce Ohmer and her husband John, Jackie Herbert, Donna Ellis and her husband Stromie, Paula Moratto and her husband Dr. Paul Moratto, all of Maryland, a brother Pat Barco of Meadville, three sisters in law Nancy Stone of Virginia, Mary Melby and her husband Gene of Harrisburg, Evelyn Matson of Georgia, a brother in law Allen Hahn and his wife Diana Ohlbaum of DC, many close friends and relatives including Toni Hunter, Patty Sugar Preuss, Lee Jamison, all of Meadville, together with many, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

In addition to her parents and her husband, David, of 49 years, Peggy was preceded in death by her dear friend Mary Ann Costa just last week.

Family and friends are invited to call on Thursday from 4-7 at STEPHEN P. MIZNER FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, INC., 404 CHESTNUT ST., MEADVILLE, where a Scripture Service will be held at 6:45 PM.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Mary of Grace Roman Catholic Church, 1085 Water St., Meadville, at 10:00 AM on Friday, June 30, 2017, with Fr. Tom Trocchio, Parochial Vicar, officiating.

Peggy will be laid to rest with her husband, David, in St. Brigid Cemetery, West Mead Twp.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to American Diabetes Assoc. of PA, PO Box 11454, Alexandria, VA 22312.
