Peter E. Palicia

Peter E. Palicia, 85, of Willowick, OH, passed away Friday, November 12, 2021, at The Heights Rehabilitation Center, Broadview Heights, OH.

Peter was born at home in Sandy Lake Township on April 25, 1936, a son of the late Anthony and Anna (Hrisak) Palicia. He attended schools at the former Yankee School #5 in Sandy Lake.

On July 1, 1961, Peter married Bertha Krolikowski at St. Brigid Church, Meadville, PA; she survives.

He was a member of St. Mary Magdalene Church in Willowick, OH.

After working more than 40 years as an electrician, Peter retired from Westport Axle in 1995. He had previously been employed by Astro Design/Cortest from 1985-1991, and by Rampe Manufacturing, Plant Supervisor from 1964-1985. In 1978 Peter was awarded by the City of Cleveland his Electrical License. In 1985 received a Certification Industrial Electronics in Auburn Career, Painesville, OH. In 1993 received a Certification Electrical Codes from Euclid Vocational High School, Euclid OH. In his younger years, he was a Little League Coach. Peter obtained his pilot license in the 1970's and he and enjoyed flying.  An outdoors man, he also enjoyed camping and fishing. He was a Cleveland Tribe Fan.

In addition to his wife, Bertha, of 60 years, Peter is survived by two children Sandra Palicia of Willowick, OH, Brian Palicia of CA; a sister Lucy Pistone of Canoga Park, CA; two brothers David Palicia (Teresa), Zachary Palicia, both of Stoneboro; several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Peter was preceded in death by two sisters Mary Ann Bolog, Dorothy Krolikowski, three brothers Joseph Palicia, Lucas Palicia, and Patrick Palicia.

Family and friends are invited to call from 4-6 PM on Tuesday, November 16, 2021, at STEPHEN P. MIZNER FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, INC., 404 CHESTNUT ST., MEADVILLE, where a Scripture Service will be held at 5:30 PM.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 AM on Wednesday, at The Epiphany of the Lord Parish, St. Agatha Roman Catholic Church, 353 Pine St., Meadville, with Fr. Joe Petrone, Parochial Vicar, officiating.

Peter will be laid to rest in St. Agatha Cemetery, West Mead Township.
