Rachel E. Miller

Rachel E. Miller, 97, of 1004 Alfred St., Meadville, passed away Sunday, March 30th, 2014 at Wesbury United Methodist Community.

Rachel was born in Franklin on January 14, 1917, a daughter of the late Dick N. and Margaret (Davison) Miller.

She was a member of First Presbyterian Church where she sang for many special church events and weddings.

Rachel retired from the former Talon, Inc. of Meadville where she was employed as Administrative Secretary for Plant 5. A graduate of Allegheny College, she was a member of the Meadville Business and Professional Womens Club and Daughters of the American Revolution. Rachel was a cat lover. She enjoyed playing the organ and piano, singing, collecting stuffed animals and dolls. She also enjoyed attending the monthly dinners at Plum Township Fire hall, Sunville. Her friends enjoyed talking with her about her younger years. She will be sadly missed.

Rachel is survived by many close friends. She was preceded in death by her parents.

Funeral Services will be held at Sunville Cemetery, Cooperstown, at 10:00 AM on Wednesday, April 2nd, 2014., with Rev. Dr. Brian Jensen, Pastor of First Presbyterian Church, officiating. Rachel will be laid to rest next to her parents.

Arrangements are under the direction of Stephen P. Mizner Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc., 404 Chestnut St., Meadville.
