Ralph D. Muckinhaupt

Ralph D. Muckinhaupt, 73, of 16301 S. Shady Acres Dr., Meadville, passed away Saturday, October 24, 2015 at home.

Ralph was born in Meadville on September 1, 1942, a son of Josephine (Acker) Muckinhaupt and the late Ralph L. "Zeke" Muckinhaupt.

On September 1, 1973 Ralph married Mary Yvonne Pash; she survives.

For more than 24 years Ralph was employed by U.C.I.P. where he was in charge of the maintenance department. He previously had been employed in the Spinning Dept. of the former Avtex Corp. In 1960 Ralph graduated from Saegertown High School. A Vietnam veteran, Ralph entered the US Army on July 7, 1960 where he served three years of active duty followed by three years in the US Army Reserves. He was a participant during the Cuban Missile Crisis. A former member of the Meadville Eagles Club, Ralph was a member of the Conneaut Lake Volunteer Fire Hall and Vernon Fire Hall. He enjoyed bowling, fishing and taking care of his cat known as Mamma's Kitty.

In addition to his wife Mary of 42 years Ralph is survived by two children Ralph David Muckinhaupt, Jr. and his wife Kelly of Meadville, David Allen Muckinhaupt and his companion Shannon Miller of Cambridge Springs, six grandchildren, his mother Josephine Muckinhaupt, two sisters Sandra Pash and her husband Ron of Conneautville, Judy Henshew and her companion Brian Chinko of Meadville, two brothers Robert F. Muckinhaupt and his wife Brenda of WV, Charles J. Muckinhaupt and his wife Debbie of Meadville, several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his father, Ralph L. "Zeke" Muckinhaupt, Ralph was preceded in death by a son Brian Keith Muckinhaupt and a grandson Ralph "Trey" Muckinhaupt, III.

At the family's request, services will be private and held at the convenience of the family.
