Reginaldo "Aldo" "Reggie" Salvatore Colella

Reginaldo Salvatore Colella known as Aldo and Reggie, 81, of Saegertown, passed away Saturday, September 7, 2024. 

Aldo was born in Taurianova, Italy on August 2, 1943, a son of the late Antonino and Carmela (Sigilli) Colella.

On June 24, 1967, Aldo married Theresa Frisina; she survives. 

Born in Italy, Reginaldo came to America at the age of 25 and began his 45+ year career at the former Sunbeam, now known as Seco Warwick. He started working as a janitor and as he began to learn the English language, he became a welder and later, an electrician, then head electrician where he built electrical panels for furnaces. Following his retirement, he continued to be a consultant for Seco Warick traveling throughout the US and to Italy. Aldo served as a union representative and president of the IBEW. He was a member of St. Bernadette's Church in Saegertown and of the ICC Club. Aldo was an avid reader who enjoyed golfing prior to his declining health and played semi professional soccer while living in Italy. He enjoyed following sports, especially soccer and football. Whether trying a new recipe or cooking a traditional Italian dish, Aldo loved being in the kitchen. He enjoyed being around others and was easy to talk to. Aldo was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. He will be sadly missed. 

In addition to his wife, Theresa, of 57 years, Aldo is survived by two sons, Joseph Colella (Julie) of Clovis, NM, Anthony "Tony" Colella (Wendi) of Saegertown; grandchildren Ashley Dean (Cody), Andrew Colella, Jared Colella, Joshua Colella, Stephen DeVore (fiance' Hanna), Kirsten DeVore (fiance' Aaron), Matthew DeVore; a sister Italia Lentini-Colella of Taurianova, Italy; many nieces and nephews.

Aldo was preceded in death by siblings Maria Colella, Vincenzo Colella, Franco Colella, Fortuna Roda and Guido Colella.

Visitation is 3-5:30 PM on Monday, September 16, 2025, at STEPHEN P. MIZNER FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, INC., 404 CHESTNUT ST., MEADVILLE, where Funeral Services will follow at 5:30 with Pastor Benjamin Travis officiating.
