Richard "Ricky" Corbin, of Meadville, was born February 22, 1997 to Cassandra (Piercy) Martin and Herbert Jolly, Jr. He passed away May 22, 2019.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Herbert Jolly, Sr., Eula B. Jolly, Clarence Eugene Piercy, Kathleen Lois McCombs and sister Taneaka Jackson.
Although Ricky was only 22 years old, he left an impact and touched the lives of so many people. Every single person who had ever met Ricky felt like he was their best friend. He had a way of making you feel special and deeply connected to him. Ricky's favorite thing to do was make people laugh. He was loud, boisterous and hilarious. There was no mistaking his voice and presence. Ricky had a special place in his heart for special needs people or anybody with a disability of any sort. It came natural to him to befriend them and help where he could. Ricky loved all sports especially football and basketball, as well as fishing He played sports through school, mainly attending Meadville schools. He finished out his senior year and graduated from Villa Rica High School in 2015 while living with his aunt Leigh in Villa Rica, GA. He was an avid member of Mt. Prospect Baptist Church in Villa Rica, GA. Little did he know that when he got his driver's license and chose to be an organ donor, it would not only be a few short years later that this choice would save other people's lives. Ricky even did a senior project/report on organ donation and felt strongly about the importance of it.
The pain of losing Ricky so soon has be lessened by knowing that Ricky's organs have saved the lives of three young men, ages, 28, 20 and 41. The CORE (Center for Organ Recovery and Education) Organization has opened up a new chapter and Ricky's legacy will continue to live on for many years to come.
He leaves behind his mother, father, brother Aaron, sisters Alexis, Maleigha, Ciara, mother figures in his life Aunt Sherri Piercy, Aunt Larethea Decloquement, Valerie Barton, Kari Papinchak, a host of aunts, uncles and cousins. He will be missed by his friends and family dearly.
