Rita Jean Roloff

Rita Jean Roloff, 81, of Meadville passed away on December 1, 2020 at home, surrounded by her family.

Born in Meadville, PA on November 7, 1939, Rita was a daughter of Milton Edward Lang, Sr. and Elizabeth (Reese) Lang.

She married Lee R. Roloff on April 10, 1987.

Rita worked for several years at GTI, and subsequently retired from Talon. She also worked for a brief time at Meadville Medical Center and Hold-E-Z. She was a member of VFW Post #2006, Meadville Eagles Club and the Italian Civic Club. For many years, she enjoyed camping with her friends, bowling at the Eagles Club and traveling to bowling tournaments in West Virginia. One of her favorite pastimes was playing cards with her dear friends Maxine and Duane Vogan and spending time with her family.

Survivors include her husband Lee of Meadville; daughter Lori Soff and her husband Christopher, and granddaughter Victoria Soff and her boyfriend Casey Dickson, all of Meadville; step-daughter Michelle Browne and her husband Jerry of Mount Hope, WV; four brothers and one sister, Milton (Junior) Lang and his wife Elaine, Harold (Bud) Lang, Gary Lang and his companion Donna Lukich and Joan (Peg) Minnick, all of Meadville and Jim Lang of Conneaut Lake; brothers-in-law Bob Stanford of Meadville, Gene Pavlik of Conneaut Lake and Ed Troutner of North East and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, Don (Connie) Heffern and Bob Lang, six sisters, Faye (Cubby) Culbertson, Lucy (Paul, Sr.) Bleasdale, Lois Troutner, Rose Stanford, Marion (John) Alexander and Sue Pavlik; and one brother-in-law, Ron Minnick.

The family would like to gratefully acknowledge the compassion and care provided by the Yolanda G. Barco Oncology Institute and Hospice of Crawford County.

Family and friends are invited to call on Thursday, December 3, from 3-6 PM at STEPHEN P. MIZNER FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, INC., 404 CHESTNUT ST., MEADVILLE, where funeral services will be held on Friday at 10:30 AM with Rev. Douglas Messerall of Calvary Baptist Church officiating. CDC guidelines will be followed.

The funeral service will be live streamed via Facebook at Stephen P. Mizner Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc. If you are not able to attend, please be present in prayer.

Rita will be laid to rest in Roselawn Memorial Gardens.
