Robert "Bob" Earl Mosier, 84, of Saegertown, passed away Tuesday, July 31, 2018, at Meadville Medical Center.
Bob was born in Meadville, on May 28, 1934, a son of the late Earl and Hazel (Johnson) Mosier.
On November 8, 1984 Bob married Doris A. Say-Goodge; she survives.
He was a member of First Presbyterian Church, Meadville.
In 1992 Bob retired from his successful career in the Insurance Industry. For many years he worked for Prudential Insurance in both sales and management and had achieved the top 100 salesman of the year during his career. Over the years Bob owned and managed several rental units in Meadville, having bought and renovated over 50 houses. A veteran of the US Navy, Bob served his country honorably for eight years. He was a graduate of Meadville High School and attended Florida University. Bob was an exceptional athlete having played one season of professional football with the Buffalo Bills and having qualified twice for the US Olympic Volleyball Team during the 1960's. Additionally Bob was inducted into the PA State Volleyball Hall of Fame and was a Racquetball State Champion having played both on a national and international level. He continued to play racquetball until age 75. A member of the YMCA for over 50 years, he was also a member of Cochranton Masonic Lodge #790. Bob also enjoyed hunting. He will be greatly missed.
In addition to his wife, Doris, of 33 years, Bob is survived by two daughters Deborah Henry, Karin Pitt (Che), three step children Marcia Morrow (Ron), Lawrence Goodge (Debbie), Alison Sexton (Dan), ten grandchildren, four great grandchildren, two brothers Thomas Mosier (Lois), James Mosier (Pauline), a godson Paul Sass, many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Bob was preceded in death by a sister Norma Hall and a step daughter Susan Goodge.
At Bob's request, no services will be held.
Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
