Robert "Bob" Frank Nageotte

Robert "Bob" Frank Nageotte, 91, of 21579 Auburn Ave., Meadville, formerly of Main Street, Saegertown, passed away peacefully, Tuesday, September 27, 2016, at Meadville Medical Center.

Bob was born in Cleveland, OH on August 19, 1925, a son of the late Wilfred and Margurite (Fenzel)Nageotte.

On January 29, 1983, Bob married Mary Lou Cotterman; she survives. He previously had been married to Lillian "Ginny" Virginia Apple; she preceded him in death on December 8, 1980.

He was of the Christian Faith and attended the First Baptist Church and the Altar International House of Prayer, both of Meadville.

Bob graduated from St. Ignatius High School, Cleveland, OH, in 1942 where he excelled in chemistry. In 1952 he began his career with the former Saegertown Ginger Ale Plant where he worked until his retirement in 1991. He developed and created the flavors for the many varieties of pop and was responsible for all aspects of Plant Management. Bob was a harder worker and will be remembered as being a "Jack of All Trades". He will be deeply missed by those who knew and loved him.

In addition to his wife Mary Lou of 33 years, Bob is survived by five sons James R. Nageotte and his wife Sue of Cochranton, Charles T. Nageotte and his wife Kathy of Saegertown, Ronald Nageotte and his wife Carol of Stateline, NV, Wilfred Nageotte and his companion Martha Young of Meadville, Joseph Nageotte and his companion Shevy Helwig of Cambridge Springs, two stepsons Michael Ferry of Redmond, OR, William Ferry of Lorraine, OH, 10 grandchildren, several great grandchildren, two sisters Mary Walsh of Parma, OH, Jacqueline Reisland of North Olmstead, OH, nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents and his first wife Ginny, Bob was preceded in death by a son Robert LeRoy Nageotte, a daughter Diane Broadhead, a brother Wilfred Nageotte, two grandchildren Eric and Greg.

At the family's request there will be no visitation.

A Memorial Service will be held at First Baptist Church, 353 Chestnut Street, Meadville, at 11:00 AM on Saturday, October 22, 2016, with Rev. Jerry Walton, Pastor, officiating.

Bob will be laid to rest in Saegertown Cemetery, Hayfield Twp.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the First Baptist Church of Meadville, 353 Chestnut Street or Altar International House of Prayer 660-8 Terrace Street, Penn Plaza both of Meadville, PA 16335.
