Robert "Bob" W. Prystaloski

Robert "Bob" W. Prystaloski, 84, of 9947 Tamarack Dr., Meadville, passed away Saturday, January 14, 2017, at Meadville Medical Center.

Bob was born in Chestnut Ridge, on March 28, 1932, a son of the late Josef and Anna (Zazadjinski) Prystaloski.

On May 3, 1952 Bob married Ruth Marie Snearline; she survives.

He was a member of St. Agatha Roman Catholic Church, Meadville.

Following his 1950 graduation from Meadville High School, Bob began an apprenticeship as a tool and die maker at the former Talon, Inc. His apprenticeship was interrupted in January, 1953 as he was drafted into the US Army. Following his honorable discharge in January, 1955, he returned to Talon where he worked many years. Bob went on to open his own Tool and Die shop, the former Trebor Tool which was located on Limber Road and later he established the former Crystal Industries on Tamarack Drive. In 1998 Bob began enjoying retirement.

Bob developed a passion for flying, a skill he mastered with the aid of the G.I. Bill. His love of flying and love of aircraft lead him to not only buy an airplane but also to build one. Bob enjoyed attending air shows and taking his family flying. His other interests included reading, working crossword puzzles and playing dominos.

In addition to his wife, Ruth, of 64 years, Bob is survived by five children Robert W. Prystaloski, Jr. and his wife Kim of Myrtle Beach, SC, Sue O'Nan and her husband Chuck of Midway, UT, Richard "Dick" Prystaloski, Betsy Chase and her husband Clarence both of Meadville, Mary Volosh and her husband Michael of Ambridge, eight grandsons Chris and David O'Nan, Paul Prystaloski, Mike Prystaloski, Brian Chase, Michael, Marshall and Mitchell Volosh, three great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Bob was preceded in death by a son Philip "Flip" E. Prystaloski, two sisters and five brothers.

Family and friends are invited to call on Thursday, January 19, 2017 from 9:30-11 AM at STEPHEN P. MIZNER FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, INC., 404 CHESTNUT ST., MEADVILLE.

A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Agatha Roman Catholic Church, 353 Pine St., Meadville, at 11:30 AM with Fr. Johnathan Schmolt, Pastor, officiating.

Bob will be laid to rest in St. Agatha Cemetery, West Mead Twp.
