Robert "Bobby J" J. Alberter

There is no greater journey, than the one that leads you home……..
Robert John Alberter, (Bobby J) 63, finished his journey home to heaven on March 23, 2015.

Bobby was born in Johnstown, on July 17, 1951 and lived in Saegertown, with his wife Sherry.  Their home was filled with love from their daughters and husbands Courtney & Justin Bailey, Shannon & Travis Ekis, Erica & Tom Pipp and Chelsey & JP Payne, along with ten grandchildren who loved their papa. 

Bobby was the son of the late Rose and William Alberter, Sr.  Bobby is survived by his three brothers William Jr. & Dennis, of Johnstown, Thomas, of Anchorage, AK, and his sister, Christine Rosko, of Nanty Glo.  Nephews include Matthew, Jeffrey and Christopher Alberter and Nieces Regina Brown, Danielle Alberter-Peterman, Janelle Rosko-Jones and Cassandra Rosko. 

Calling hours will be held at Stephen P. Mizner Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc., 404 Chestnut St., Meadville, on Thursday, March 26, 2015, from 1-3 pm and 5-8 pm.  Additional calling hours will be held at New Beginnings Church of God, 13226 Leslie Rd., Meadville on Friday, March 27, 2015, from 11-1 with the funeral service following at 1 pm, with Pastor Temple Jarrell and Pastor Cliff Forbes officiating.

Bobby will be laid to rest in Saegertown Cemetery.

Bobby was courageous in his battle with cancer and walked by faith with the love of his family, friends and the hearts that he touched. Cancer did not win this battle because it could never take away the strength of family and friends, the faith in God's promises or the love in our hearts….not this time cancer……not this time.
