Robert J. Wolfgang, 69, formerly of Harmonsburg, passed away Saturday, March 28, 2020 at Andover Village.
Robert was born in Meadville, on April 2, 1950, a son of the late Robert E. and Dorothy M. (Randall) Wolfgang.
He was affiliated with First Baptist Church, Linesville.
Robert worked for over 23 years at both Plant 5 and Plant 7 of the former Talon, Inc., up until the time of it's closing. He had also been employed as a Deputy Sheriff under Howard Stewart, working with the State Police Departments of Crawford and Erie Counties. As Deputy Sheriff he worked in the Court House, the prison, and local events such as the Crawford County Fair. Additionally he had worked as a Security Guard and at Advance Cast of Meadville. A 1968 graduate of Meadville High School, Robert also attended Machine Shop classes at the Vo-Tech. He enjoyed hunting, playing soft ball and wood working.
Robert is survived by three children James R. Wolfgang (Nyla) of Saegertown, Stacey Campbell (Fred) of Meadville, Evron Wolfgang (Kari) of Guys Mills, eight grandchildren Stella Wolfgang, Harper Wolfgang, Briceson Darling, Brandon Darling, Kaylee Campbell, Levi Wolfgang, LeeRoy Wolfgang and Libby Wolfgang.
He was preceded in death by a sister Marjorie Rowan.
A Private Memorial Service will be held at STEPHEN P. MIZNER FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, INC., 404 Chestnut St., Meadville.
Robert will be laid to rest in Cochranton Cemetery.
