Robert Lee Heth, 71, of 410 Wallace St., Erie, formerly of Saegertown, passed away Friday, February 21st, 2014 at UPMC-Hamot Medical Center, Erie.
Robert was born at home in Saegertown, on December 25, 1942, a son of the late Willis and Frances (Forbes) Heth.
On September 19, 1992, at Cambridge Springs United Methodist Church, Robert married Elaine McIntyre; she survives.
Robert was a member of both Saegertown United Methodist Church and Cambridge Springs United Methodist Church.
Robert had been employed by the former Warren Industries. He had previously been employed by SMC for a period of 20 years and by Conneaut Lake Park. He was a 1st Lt. in the Fire Police for Saegertown Volunteer Fire Department and a social member of Saegertown American Legion. He loved cook outs, going camping and fishing. But what he loved most in life was being with his grandchildren.
In addition to his wife Elaine of 21 years, Robert is survived by three step children Stephanie Kinney of Erie, Marjorie Theis and her husband Jason of Fairbanks, AK, Stephen V. Dukaish, Jr. and his fianc Jen of Saegertown, a very close friend who was like a daughter, Wendy Blakley of Saegertown, a sister Cora Henry and her husband Richard of Blooming Valley, a brother George Heth and his wife of Jacksonville, FL, several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral services will be held at Stephen P. Mizner Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 330 Broad St., Saegertown, at 11:00 AM on Thursday, February 27, 2014, with Rev. Jeff Bobin, Pastor of Cambridge Springs United Methodist Church and Venango United Methodist Church, officiating.
