Rodger Lee Richardson

Rodger Lee Richardson, 67, of 17575 Maples Rd., Linesville, passed away Tuesday, July 12th, 2011 at UPMC-Hamot Medical Center, Erie.
Rodger was born in Lynchburg, VA on November 23, 1943, a son of the late John M. and Dorothy Lorraine (Kriegh) Richardson.
On March 8, 2004 Rodger married Judith A. Grunhart; she survives.
He had been a member of Calvary Baptist Church, Hermitage.
After 27 years of service to his country, Rodger retired from the US Army. Following his retirement, he became a self-employed truck driver, as traveling was in his blood. He was a graduate of Norfolk, VA High School. His hobbies included metal detecting and reading. Rodger loved all types of animals, especially cats.
In addition to his wife Judith, Rodger is survived by three children Sony Lee Gilroy of Cuyahoga Falls, OH, Dawn Shirley of Newton, KS, Worena Hollinhan of Harrisonburg, VA, nine grandchildren, a sister Cathy Stahl of Sommerset, several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Rodger was preceded in death by a brother.
At the familys request, services will be private and held at the convenience of the family.
