Ronald F. Leberman

Ronald F. Leberman, 87, of Meadville, passed away at home on Tuesday, April 11, 2023.

Ronald was born at the former Spencer Hospital, on November 25, 1935, a son of the late Charles and Mary (Nodine) Leberman.

He was a member of Stone United Methodist Church.

Ronald was a1955 graduate of Meadville High School. During his last two years of schooling he started his life long passion, of bird banding with the PA Fish and Wildlife Commission. Ronald, along with his brother, Robert, started bird banding throughout Pennsylvania, primarily at Presque Isle and Pymatuning. During this time Ronald banded over 75,000 birds and 100 different species, He was employed by the former Meadville News Co. for 40 years, the last twelve in Erie, retiring in 2000.

Ronald is survived by his dear friends Amy Shaulis and Sandy Porter.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brother Robert "Bob" Leberman.

Family and friends are invited to call from 12-2 PM on Saturday, April 15, 2023, at STEPHEN P. MIZNER FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, INC., 404 CHESTNUT ST., MEADVILLE, where Funeral Services will follow at 2 PM.

Ronald will be laid to rest with his family in Greendale Cemetery.
