Rose Ann Longo

Rose Ann Longo, 84, of Meadville, passed away Wednesday, July 1st, at Wesbury United Methodist Community.

Rose Ann was born in Meadville, on June 21, 1936, a daughter of the late Mario and Louise (Davena) Longo.

A 1954 graduate of Meadville High School, Rose Ann also attended classes at Allegheny College and Penn State University. For many years, she was employed as a buyer for the former Joseph Horne Company, and as manager for a lingerie company in Miami, FL before moving back to Crawford County and retiring from the former George's Jewelry. She enjoyed volunteering for the Historical Society as well as Big Brothers and Big Sisters. She enjoyed singing and, in her younger years, sang in church. She loved all types of music.

Rose Ann is survived by a sister Riccarda "Ricci" Mackanin (Joseph) of Moon Township; three nieces Nadine Moroski, Rachel Gattuso (Steve III) and their children, Steve IV and Joseph, Adrienne Corcoran (Kevin); two nephews Mark Moroski and his children, Mario and Danielle, Andrew Mackanin (Amber); and many cousins.

In addition to her parents, Rose Ann was preceded in death by two sisters Helene Moroski, Mary Lou Longo and a great nephew Brian Cerne.

Per Rose Ann's wishes, private services will be held.

She will be laid to rest in St. Brigid Cemetery.
