Rosemarie Zuchero

Rosemarie Zuchero, 87,  passed away peacefully on September 10, 2021, after a long period of declining health. She had resided at Wesbury United Methodist Community after suffering a severe stroke in January, 2020.

Rosemarie was born in Meadville on March 3, 1934, the daughter of the late John Sugar and Beatrice Diluvio Zuchero.

She graduated from Meadville High School in 1952, was a class officer and organized many of her class reunions. She retired from PNC Bank in 1996 after more than 35 years of service. Rosemarie was a lifelong, faithful and active member of St. Mary of Grace Church and served as a Eucharistic Minister, on the parish Care and Concern Committee and the Altar Rosary Society. She enjoyed cooking and serving at the many church festivals and dinners. She enjoyed the close company of her many friends, most of whom she knew her entire life. In her earlier years she was an avid bowler and golfer.

She is survived by her sister, Christine Ferrare, her nine nieces and nephews and their spouses, together with their children and grandchildren, with whom she maintained a close and loving relationship throughout her life, together with many dear cousins and their families.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Norman Zuchero, and her sister, Frances Fonzo.

Family and friends are invited to call on Thursday, September 16 from 10:00 - 11:30 at STEPHEN P. MIZNER FUNERAL HOME, 404 CHESTNUT STREET, MEADVILLE. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 12:00 PM at The Epiphany of the Lord Parish, St. Mary of Grace Roman Catholic Church, 1085 Water St., Meadville, with Fr. Joe Petrone, Parochial Vicar, officiating.

Rosemarie will be laid to rest in St. Brigid Cemetery.

The family suggests that any donations made in Rosemarie's memory be made to a local food bank or a similar charity of one's choice.
