Roy Kenneth 'Ken' Booth, 69, of 13133 State Hwy. 98, Meadville, passed away Saturday, December 11, 2010 at Meadville Medical Center.
Ken was born in Welch, WV on December 17, 1940, a son of the late Clarence and Roxie Lambert Booth.
On December 21, 1996 Ken married Delores Wayner; she survives.
On Oct. 1, 1985 Ken retired from Ford Motor Company, Brook Park Plant, where he had worked as a furnace operator and repairer. He attended Welch, WV schools. Over the years he attended Methodist and Lutheran churches. He loved to garden, cook and can the foods he grew. His hobbies included archery hunting, bowling, singing, playing the guitar and banjo.
In addition to his wife Delores of 13 years, Ken is survived by a daughter Ashley Hotchkiss of Meadville, a son Timothy W. Booth and his wife Aimee of Cleveland, OH, five grandchildren, six great grandchildren, a sister Sherry Morgan of Pineville, WV, four brothers J.W. Booth and his wife Elsie of Christianburg, WV, Claude Booth of Conneaut Lake, Richard Booth of Warren, OH, Doug Booth of Lucky, OH, a sister-in-law Joyce Booth of NC, several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Ken was preceded in death by a son Kenny Ray Booth, a step son Lawrence J. Hotchkiss, three sisters Ruby Lane, Wanda Blackburn, Lorraine Lane and a brother Earl Booth.
Family and friends are invited to call on Tuesday from 4-6 at Stephen P. Mizner Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc., 404 Chestnut St., Meadville, PA 16335 where Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 AM on Wednesday, December 15, with Pastor Benjamin Travis, Pastor of Trinity Lutheran Church, officiating.
Interment will take place in Venango Cemetery, Venango.
Memorial Contributions may be made to a charity of the donors choice.
