Russell Frank Anselmo

Russell Frank Anselmo, 87, of Meadville, passed away Friday, December 20, 2024 at Wesbury United Methodist Community.

Russell was born at the former Spencer Hospital, Meadville, on June 19, 1937, a son of the late Frank G. and Josephine (Frisina) Anselmo.

He was a member of St. Mary of Grace Church. 

 In 1951, at the age of 14, Russell began working at the family business, Anselmo Grocery, until its closing in 1973.

Russell is survived by a nephew Kenneth M. Kindervater (Terri) of Meadville, a great niece Kayli Palmer of HI, several loving cousins who were very close to Russell.

In addition to his parents, Russell was preceded in death by his sister Isabel A. Kindervater and a niece Mary Ann Moore.

A Mass of Resurrection will be celebrated on Monday, December 23, 2024, at 10:00 AM at St. Mary of Grace Church, 1085 Water St., Meadville, with Fr. Kyle Seyler, Parochial Vicar, officiating. 

Russell will be laid to rest in St. Brigid Cemetery with his sister Isabel.
