Ruth Eileen Consla

Ruth Eileen Consla, 86, of 10288 Liberty St. Ext., Meadville, passed away Friday, August 12th, 2011 at Wesbury United Methodist Community.
Ruth was born in Meadville on July 18, 1925, a daughter of the late Edward G. and Edith G. (Zimmer) Dornhoffer.
On September 6, 1941 Ruth married William Andrew Consla, Sr.; he preceded her in death on August 19, 1997.
A devoted homemaker, Ruth enjoyed raising her eight children. For a short period of time she served as tax assessor for West Mead Twp. She attended Meadville schools. Ruth enjoyed reading and her German Shepherd, Lady.
Ruth is survived by seven children William A. Consla, Jr. and his wife Mary of Franklin, Richard R. Consla and his wife Judy of Lanesboro, Edward Consla and his wife Fermina of Conyers, GA, Ruth Ann Consla of Meadville, Sherry Lee Nichols and her husband Wally of Meadville, June Marie Consla of Meadville, Jill Louise Crowley of Springboro, 12 grandchildren, two step granddaughters, 20 great great grandchildren, a sister Betty Robbins of Meadville, several nephews, great nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband William of 55 years, Ruth was preceded in death by a son John Charles Consla.
Family and friends are invited to call on Tuesday from 12:30-2:30 at Stephen P. Mizner Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc., 404 Chestnut St., Meadville, where Funeral Services will be held at 2:30 PM on Tuesday, August 16th, with Rev. Joel DiAngi officiating.
Interment will take place in Greendale Cemetery, West Mead Twp.
