Ruth Marie Cridge

Ruth Marie Cridge, of 557 Chestnut St., Apt. 30 C, Meadville, formerly of Pittsburgh, passed away Monday, August 20, 2012 at Meadville Medical Center.
Ruth was born in Pittsburgh on October 19, 1925, a daughter of the late Joseph and Mary Chropko Bajoras.
On July 25, 1945 Ruth married Ellwood 'Buss' E. Cridge; he survives.
She was a member of St. Brigid Roman Catholic Church, Meadville, and while living in Pittsburgh, she was a member of Resurrection Roman Catholic Church, Brookline. Ruth retired from Mellon Bank, Pittsburgh, where she had been employed as a bank teller for more than 15 years.
In addition to her husband, Buss, of 67 years, Ruth is survived by a daughter Linda Patton and her husband Dennis of Meadville, a son Alan Cridge and his wife Patricia of Kettering, OH, eight grandchildren Ryan Patton, Amy Decker, Casey Morton, Kelley Cridge, Jon Cridge, Mark Cridge, Jacob Cridge, Matti Cridge, five great grandchildren, two sisters Leona Hostert and her husband Arthur of Oxford, Bennie Kearns and her husband William of Richmond, VA, several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Ruth was preceded in death by a sister Eugenia Anderson.
At the familys request there will be no visitation.
Family and Friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM on Friday, August 24, 2012, at St. Brigid Roman Catholic Church, 383 Arch St., Meadville, with Fr. Johnathan Schmolt, Pastor, officiating.
Interment will take place in St. Brigid Cemetery, West Mead Twp.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 320 Bilmar Dr., Pittsburgh, PA 15205-4620.
