Ruth Marie (Phillips) Nagare 'Ruthie'

Ruth Marie (Phillips) Nagare 'Ruthie', (61), of 20546 Blooming Valley Rd., Meadville, passed away on Sun. March 2nd at home.

Ruthie was born in Erie, on August 29, 1952. She was the third of five children born to Ollive (Hanna) Phillips and the late William Phillips Sr.

Ruthie spent many years as a stay at home mother, after the growth of her children she took various jobs which involved dealing with the public. No matter where she worked, she was well liked and made many friends. She attended Wayne School in Erie and graduated from East High. Ruthie was a life member of the Womens Auxiliary of VFW Post #2006. She loved making shell necklaces, doing macram, shopping and dancing. Ruthie was very close to her family, especially her sisters. She loved to help others. She was a very loving person who was an inspiration to her family, people she worked with and even strangers. Her belief in God was a blessing. She fought hard for her life and we are all very proud of her.

Ruthie is survived by her daughter Karann Holman and her husband Mike of Edinboro, her son Terrance Nagare of Warren, her mother Ollive Phillips of Meadville, three sisters Stella May Starn and her husband William 'Bill' of Meadville, Kathie June Ferringtonn and her husband Dave, Patricia Savoia and her husband Christopher both of Cambridge Springs, a brother William F. Phillips and his companion Mary of Erie, her former companion and still close friend C. David Morris of Cambridge Springs, who was like a father to her children, Davids three children Shawn & David Morris, and Jennifer Miller, several nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, great great nieces and great great nephews. She was loved by all.

She was preceded in death by her father, William Phillips Sr. and daughter, Stephanie Mary Kahala.

Family and friends are invited to call from 11-2 on Friday, March 7, at Stephen P. Mizner Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc., 404 Chestnut St., Meadville, where Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 PM with Jim Gibson of First Christian Church officiating.

Ruth will be laid to rest in Greendale Cemetery, West Mead Twp.
