Ruth Marie Prystaloski

Ruth Marie Prystaloski, 84, of 9947 Tamarack Drive, Meadville, passed away Saturday, April 22, 2017, at Marquette Hospice House.

Ruth was born in Meadville, on January 4, 1933, a daughter of the late Edward M. and Zoe J. (Henry) Snearline.

On May 3, 1952 Ruth married Robert "Bob" W. Prystaloski; he preceded her in death on January 14, 2017.

She was a life long member of St. Agatha Roman Catholic Church, Meadville.

In her younger years Ruth had been employed by the Meadville Tribune and the former Super Duper supermarket. She was a 1950 graduate of the former St. Agatha Catholic School. Ruth enjoyed keeping a sharp mind by watching "The Price Is Right" and by playing all types of games including UNO, Yahtzee, Dominos, gin rummy and solitaire. She looked forward to April Fools Day each year and always managed to catch family members off guard with one or more of her well planned jokes. She will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She will be sadly missed.

Ruth is survived by five children Robert W. Prystaloski, Jr. and his wife Kim of Myrtle Beach, SC, Sue O'Nan and her husband Chuck of Midway, UT, Richard "Dick" Prystaloski, Betsy Chase and her husband Clarence both of Meadville, Marcy Volosh and her husband Michael of Ambridge, eight grandsons Chris and David O'Nan, Paul Prystaloski, Mike Prystaloski, Brian Chase, Michael, Marshall and Mitchell Volosh, three great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and her husband Bob of 64 years, Ruth was preceded in death by a son Philip "Flip" E. Prystaloski, a brother James Edward Snearline, three sisters Jean Leiker, Dorothy Hays and infant Betty Jane Snearline. She was the last living member of her birth family.

Family and friends are invited to call on Thursday, April 27, 2017 from 9:00-10:30 AM at STEPHEN P. MIZNER FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, INC., 404 CHESTNUT ST., MEADVILLE.

A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Agatha Roman Catholic Church, 353 Pine St., Meadville, at 11:00 AM with Fr. Tom Trocchio, Parochial Vicar, officiating.

Ruth will be laid to rest with her husband, Bob, in St. Agatha Cemetery, West Mead Twp.
