Seth Matthew Thomas

Seth Matthew Thomas, 50, of Meadville, passed away unexpectedly, Friday, January 19, 2024, at home, with his wife and close friend Blanka, by his side.

Seth was born in Pensacola, FL, on April 11, 1973, to Evelyn (Thompson) and the late Merlin E. Thomas.

On August 14, 1999, Seth married Jennifer Neads at the First Church of God in Cambridge Springs; she survives.

In addition to his wife of 24 years, Seth is survived by two daughters Jordan and Sage, both of Meadville; his mother Lynn Thomas; a brother Laeth Thomas and his children Dylan (Minda) Thomas and great nephews Michael and Colt, all of Saegertown, Samantha Thomas of York; in laws Helen "Gert" (John) Kaltenbaugh of Meadville; sisters in law Barb (Mark) Brzezinski and their daughter Ashley of Cambridge Springs, Kim Meyer of Meadville and her son Jonah Meyer of Cambridge Springs and daughter Kelsey Meyer of Meadville; close friends Blanka Stratilova of Guys Mills, and Ray Lawrence of NC.

Seth was a former employee of Lord Corporation, Cambridge Springs, for 26 years. Seth enjoyed escaping into a good book, mostly fantasy and Science Fiction. He also wrote many short stories and poems, one of which was published. Seth enjoyed a variety of music, from Queensryche to the songs of Disney. He also enjoyed playing Chess with his father in law, cooking, collecting coins, comics and art. Seth loved to travel. He was looking forward to an Alaskan cruise for this 25th anniversary to his wife. He also loved his fur babies.

Seth was a very loving husband and father. He cherished his family and friends and had a great empathy and understanding towards others. He maintained a great sense of humor regardless of the situation. He will be terribly missed.

Family and friends are invited to call from 3-7 PM on Friday, January 26, 2024, at STEPHEN P. MIZNER FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, INC., 404 CHESTNUT ST., MEADVILLE, where Funeral services will be held at 11 AM on Saturday, January 27, 2024, with Pastor Kevin Myers of Cambridge Springs Church of God officiating.

Seth will be laid to rest in Cochranton Cemetery.
