Shirley A. Cole

Shirley A. Cole, 80, of 580 State St., Meadville, passed away Monday, October 25, 2010 at Meadville Rehab. & Nursing Center.
Shirley was born in Meadville on February 17, 1930, a daughter of the late Roy and Audrey (Britton) Grinnell.
Shirley married William Walter Cole, Jr.; he preceded her in death on March 16, 1986.
She was affiliated with Sandy Lake Wesleyan Church. A full time homemaker, Shirley enjoyed taking care of her family. She loved to crochet, make crafts and was a big fan of country music singer Patsy Cline.
Shirley is survived by two daughters Patricia VanDusen and her husband Ray of Fredonia, Janice Burchill and her husband Doug of Meadville, a son Dale E. Cole and his wife Donna of Wren, OH, ten grandchildren Ray K. VanDusen, Tracy L. VanDusen, Amy Burchill Fronzaglia, Holly Burchill, Michael Burchill, Joshua Cole, Jeremy Cole, Justin Cole, Brandon Cole, Amanda Cole, four great grandchildren Courtney VanDusen, Zach VanDusen, Charlie A. Raiti V, Chance Rice, two sisters Barbara Grinnell of Hadley, June Hays of Conneaut Lake, a brother Donald Grinnell of Meadville, several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and her husband William, Shirley was preceded in death by a brother Bill Grinnell, three sisters Mary Green, Betty Grinnell and Doris Grinnell.
Family and friends are invited to call on Wednesday from 4-8 at Stephen P. Mizner Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 404 Chestnut St., Meadville, PA 16335 where Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, October 28, 2010, with Pastor Beth Cossin of Sandy Lake Wesleyan Church, officiating.
Interment will take place in Kiser Hill Cemetery, East Mead Twp.
Memorial contributions may be made to Transitional Care Unit of MMC, 1034 Grove St., or Yolanda G. Barco Oncology Institute, 16792 Conneaut Lake Rd., both of Meadville, PA 16335.
