Shirley Irene Peelman

Shirley Irene Peelman, 85, of Trenton, FL, and formerly of Meadville, passed away Saturday, February 1, 2014 at Haven House, Chiefland, FL, surrounded by her family.

Shirley was born in Steubenville, OH on April 17, 1928, a daughter of the late Morris and Irene (Hill) Eynon.

On June 26, 1944 she married Glenn C. Peelman; he preceded her in death on August 1, 1999.

Shirley was a former owner of Butchs Pub in the late 1960s and retired after many years of service from the former Talon, Inc. of Meadville where she worked as an Inspector. She enjoyed reading and spending time with all her grandchildren and loved watching them grow.

Shirley is survived by two children Glenn Peelman and his wife Sandi of Trenton, Fl, Irene Mulligan of Meadville, a nephew Stanley Lawrence of Conneaut Lake who she helped raise, six grandchildren Terri Bogardus and her husband Russell of Meadville, Patricia Mulligan of Pittsburgh, Don Peelman and his wife Shirley of Mobile, AL, Barbara Kelly and her husband Dennis of Chesapeake, VA, Jodi Dize and her husband Alonza of Georgetown, KY, Joseph Mulligan of Meadville, nine great grandchildren Teagan Lindsey, Zachary and Michael Bogardus, Ariana, Ayden and Alexa Kelly, Louis Peelman, Alonza and Elise Dize, several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and her husband, Glenn, of 54 years, Shirley was preceded in death by a son Donald, two sisters Meredith Waid, Margaret Lawrence, a brother Donald Eynon and two great grandchildren.

A Memorial Service will be held at a later date which will be announced.
